Nina is a recent New Bern transplant. Nina is originally from Music City (Nashville, TN), but has been slowly making her way “down east” since college at the University of Tennessee in Knoxville and law school at Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem, NC. She joined Harris, Creech, Ward & Blackerby, P.A. in New Bern as an associate attorney in early 2018. Nina has since made New Bern her new home, as she met her husband Austin Arrington, a New Bern native, in early 2019.
Nina has loved music since she was little - she started playing violin at age 7! She began singing in middle school and continued her love of singing throughout high school by participating in choirs and musicals. She also began playing guitar at age 13 (and still does, but not well!) While higher education called her away from her musical endeavors for a while, she leapt at the opportunity to be the soprano member of The Bonafides and continue her love of performing music. Nina is so grateful to have been accepted with open arms into the New Bern community and is delighted to be a member of New Bern’s “family & friends” bluegrass band, The Bonafides. You can also see her singing with Dare Oliver and five other lovely ladies as part of the all-female a cappella group, The Silver Lining Singers.
